Nadi Astrology Procedure

The Nadi reading begins by taking your thumb impression—right thumb for males and left thumb for females. Each thumbprint falls into a specific category based on unique patterns, and the ancient palm leaves (Nadi leaves) are grouped into bundles accordingly. For each category, several bundles exist, with each bundle containing 50 to 100 palm leaves, each holding the destiny of different individuals.

Once the category of your thumb impression is identified, the Nadi reader retrieves the matching bundle and begins a verification process. You are invited for a confidential session where the reader starts examining each leaf by reading a few lines and asking you simple yes-or-no questions based on the content.

If your answer is “NO,” the reader continues to the next line, flips the leaf, or moves to the next leaf. If no matching leaf is found in the initial bundle, the reader will fetch another suitable bundle from the archive. This process continues until a leaf is found that matches your personal details—your name, your parents’ names, number of siblings, marital status, etc. When all answers are “YES,” that leaf is considered your destined leaf.

If your leaf is not located in the available bundles at the center, further searches are conducted at the main Nadi archive in Tamil Nadu. There is no charge if your leaf is not found.

Once your leaf is confirmed, the Nadi reader copies its content into a notebook and explains it to you in detail. You may ask questions and request clarifications during the reading. The session is also recorded and provided on a CD or digital format for future reference.

The reading usually starts with a general chapter. If you wish to explore further, additional chapters (called Kandams) can be read, covering specific aspects like marriage, career, business, past or future lives, etc. The sages also recommend remedial rituals (found in Chapters 13 & 14: Shanti and Dheeksha) to help neutralize past karma, overcome planetary obstacles, and enhance future wellbeing.
